EVERY DRAWING THAT I DREW WAS NEVER EVER AS CUTE AS YOU

A simple 'artwork' i made a couple years ago. Just because i looooove the lyric so frickin' much.
The wilted flowers that I gave / Not as nice as your bouquet / All the lyrics that I wrote / Not as smart as the words you spoke / Starlight above my hometown / Ain't as bright as the star I've found / Every drawing that I drew / Was never ever as cute as you

YOU AND I ARE GONNA LIVE FOREVER

This is just a random post of me, and my boyfriend, John, doing nothing and posing xD I know you guys don't care about this post, but i just love posting my picture of me and him :p
The picture is taken on Sunday nights in our friend's room, weirdeetz. The concept and photos are also taken by him.
Maybe I will never be /
All the things that I wanna be /
But now is not the time to cry /
Now's the time to find out why /
I think you're the same as me /
We see things they'll never see /
You and I are gonna live forever !

AWAYDAYS : The story about wedge haircuts, Lois jeans, and Adidas sneakers

I was watching Awaydays trailer when i decided that i have to watch this movie. A story about wedge haircuts, Lois jeans, and Adidas sneakers, eh? So I watched the movie yesterday, and have a few question about it. First, this is what the web tells me :
Awaydays is based on the bestselling novel by Kevin Sampson. Set in the post-punk era in the North West of England. Paul Carty (Nicky Bell) is 19, good-looking, funny, clever - and bored out of his mind. His mother died a year ago. He lives in middle class suburbia with his silently grieving father and feisty young sister, Molly. Carty works as a junior civil servant and spends all his wages on gigs, clubs, records and football. It's at a match that he meets Elvis (Liam Boyle).Elvis changes everything. He's part of a gang called The Pack. The Pack is legendary; they dress in a cultish, almost effeminate style that's at odds with the Boneheads and Bootboys they fight against. They have androgynous wedge haircuts worn with Lacoste tennis shirts, Lois jeans and Adidas Forest Hills training shoes. For as long as he has been going to football, Carty has been fascinated by The Pack. Now Elvis is offering him a way in...
Quite interesting, but i assure you have to watched it yourself so you can find something weird in this movie. I wouldn't tell ya :p
But still, i love you Elvis :)

JULIAN'S SOLO ALBUM COVER REVEALED

As i sit down in my office, i'm reading the beeeestest news for you who has Strokes playlist on your iTunes. Yes, you're right. It's Jules, baby. His album cover was revealed. And here it is :
While you're lookin' at his eyes there, here's the review based on pitchfork.com:

Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas's forthcoming debut solo LP, Phrazes for the Young, is coming out sometime this fall. It has a cool-looking cover that pays tribute to the famed dog 'n' gramophone logo of the singer's label, RCA. Also: We want one of those sleek, bright-buttoned Guitar Hero-esque hollow bodies.

Casablancas made his live debut over the weekend in Tokyo, playing an exclusive after party for fashion mecca Opening Ceremony. Naturally, there are a few front row YouTube clips from the gig featuring the singer awkwardly dancing in a questionable vest-- check those out after the jump.

Also, there's a lackadaisical video interview with the man on his official site and embedded after the jump, in which you can hear snippets of new songs.

So, that's it. Enjoy your waiting. As i do. :)
Bye now.

JULIAN CASABLANCAS IS RELEASING A SOLO ALBUM !

Jules says hello.

For you who've been waiting for this guy to sing with his heavy-drunkey-voice again, you gotta check this out. Actually i got this news from Twitter (thank God we have such an informative site like that).
And this, is what i've got from NME:
The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas is to release a solo album, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.
The singer is currently finishing working on his first full record outside the band ahead, with a release pencilled for the autumn. A trailer for the album can be watched below. The record, called 'Phrazes For The Young' was recorded in Los Angeles, Nebraska and Casablancas' home city, New York. The album was produced by Jason Lader, with additional production from Bright Eyes' Mike Mogis. Tracks slated for 'Phrazes For The Young', include 'River Of Brake Lights', 'Glass', and 'Ludlow St'.
Casablancas - who issued the illustration pictured - is set to play a "specials series" of US dates, ahead of a solo tour later in 2009.
For more information head to juliancasablancas.com
Casablancas – who since the last album from The Strokes released 'My Drive Thru' with Santigold and Pharrell Williams and collaborated with Danger Mouse on the recent 'Dark Night Of The Soul' album – is the fourth Stroke to release an album not connected with the band.
He follows solo albums from Albert Hammond, Jr. and Nikolai Fraiture along with drummer Fab Moretti's side project Little Joy.
Guitarist Nick Valensi, meanwhile, has undertaken a photography project.
And here is the preview for the video. Enjoy.
